D. T. Fleming Park
Maui, Hawaii, U.S.A. |
The world has all kinds of bathrooms from the ultra oppulant
to the simplistic. You will find them in 5 star hotels
and wilderness parks, and that brings us to D.T. Fleming
Park in Maui, Hawaii. This is no ordinary park and no ordinary
location. This is D. T. Fleming Park named America's Best
Beach for 2006. At first glance the brick building containing
the utilitarian bathrooms seem ordinary until you walk
out the door and come face to face with the most amazing
surf and suddenly you are in awe and realise how luck you
are to witness such a glorious site and that you can do
without the marble sinks and the ornate bathroom fixtures
because at this moment this is about as close to perfect
as you are going to get.
I love luxury, I love the feeling of being pampered and
having visited D.T. Fleming Park, trust me, I felt like
royality and the throne they provided might not be made
of high quality porcelian, but the view more than made
up for everything. This folks, is America's Best Beach
of 2006, the D. T. Fleming Park Bathroom in Maui, Hawaii/

D.T. FLEMING PARK BATHROOMS |

When I first walked into the bathroom I thought it was sort of odd that someone hung their hat outside of the bathroom stall but for some reason, it seemed to fit. The sun always seems to shine in Hawaii, and that style of hat is pretty popular. As you can see the bathroom is very basic. Although I did like how they had a bench to sit down on in there, which you do not usually find in public beach bathrooms. |

Two older and well worn sinks is all that they have to wash up with. I found it odd the sinks were at different levels. The faucets did work, however there was no soap, paper towels or hand dryer available. It made me grateful that at least they had toilet paper. |
