Hotel Adler,
Zurich, Switzerland |
Our junior suite at the Hotel Adler in Zurich Switzerland
was very unique and modern looking. When you first opened
the door to the room you walked into a long hall with a ton
of open closet and suitcase space. At the end of the hall
was the bathroom and to the left an opening into a large
open room. The ceilings had large skylights and the room
had two singles made up together, sitting area with pull
out couch, a small table and chairs, lovely desk and a very
nice mini fridge. There was fresh fruit for our enjoyment.
The room was spotless, and had unique murals painted on the
walls. The room was also quiet, not once did we hear any
noise from other rooms. The area around the hotel was simply
lovely. A short walk to the waterfront and on a square that
had no cars allowed. After checking in, head down along the
waterfront and enjoy the wildlife and the quaint buildings
along the shore.

Those squares on the bathroom door are
not decorations, they are actually clear glass. Yep, you
can see into the bathroom, but the way they have the squares
set up it is actually much more private than you would
first imagine.

The sink was small but the liquid hand
soap rather than bar soap was appreciated since that is what
we personally prefer. There was plenty of shelf space right
outside the bathroom door for any toiletries that did not
fit in the bathroom and we did not consider this a bother
at all as the entire junior suite was very spacious.

|
The amenities included the basics that
people come to expect as well as some above standard and
would be considered generous. The mirror was nice and large
and the
glass
shelf unit gave extra space for things like tooth brushes
etc.

|
Standard double flush toilet, kleenex
and a better hair dryer than you usually find in hotel rooms.
The toilet was average height and easy enough to get on and
off of for those that have knee or arthritis problems. |

The larger picture that you can see
when you click on the smaller one shows more of the shower
area. The shower had a full shower curtain, a shower head
that had a nice amount of pressure and came away from the
wall to reach those hard to wash off area. We only wish
all showers were like this. As an added bonus the bathroom
contained shower gel for guest use. Now that is a feature
we love to see.

The towels may look sparse here, but
they were actually in 3 different areas of the bathroom
which gave you an abundance of them. There is nothing worse
than running out of towels in the morning with not enough
time to request some from housekeeping.
|
|
This area gives you a glimpse of the
wall above the toilet and to the left of it where more
towels are stored. Overall a spotless bathroom. One thing
to mention is that the walls of the bathroom do not go
up to the ceiling but because of cathedral ceilings, they
only to up to about 8 feet. This adds to the bathroom and
gives it a more spacious feeling.
