Orchard Park Mall
Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada |
Orchard Park Mal located on Highway 97 right in the heart
of urban Kelowan, BC, is by far the nicest and largest of
any mall you may find from Osoyoos, BC straight on up to
Calgary Alberta, This Kelowan landmark could even hold it's
own in the Vancouver area on Canada's beautiful west coast.
Our mall is aptly named as Kelowna was once predomoninantly
orchards and there are still many in the southeast and west
ends of town.
The mall has over 150 stores with The Bay, Sears, Chapters,
The Gap and many more independent local enterprises gracing
their vast premises. The food court is always a place of
hustle and bustle, I love the Sizzling Wok, Chinese and have
been a loyal patron for going on 12 years. The parking lot
in front of the mall entrance and The Bay is our centre of
town Kelowna Transit System exchange and pickup locale. Good
for Orchard Park Mall as buses bring passangers directly
to the main entrance every fifteen minutes all day long.
That's what I call easy access. Of course after a large Coca-Cola
to go with my chinese sizzle I found the mall mensroom, camera
in tow.

I liked this Orchard Park mensroom very
much as it's papaya coloured countertop, doors and trim
really catch the eye. Ever since I've started to take notice
of different bathrooms, I find myself hoping I enter a
standout room that can grab my attention and make my short
stay a memorable one. Well this mensroom was just the ticket,
very spacious and appropriately so as it's adjacent to
the food court, very handy for families dining out on mall
food.
I was knocked out by the silver sinks, sunk softly in a
bed of wood papaya countertop. Rectangular mirrors hang
over each sink with a rainbow colored tile seperating them.
When washing up : If you stare long enough at the bold
black soap and towel disensers mounted on the rainbow tiles
you may think of The Wizard of Oz or the Sixties Decade.

The cream-colored brick wall sprinkled
with butterscotch rock filler caught my eye to say the least.
I had to study it carefully and with keen eye as this wall
sat on it's own amongst walls of paint and wallpaper. A really
neat looking puffy ( as my mother used to call them ) sits
out in a half-circle on the floor at the bottom-middle of
the wall. The black and red striped leathered seat is surely
a great spot for a father to sit his youngun and tie up his
shoes or give him a wee rest. Having this tiny little couch-bench
is a delightful and very creative touch that I had to take
advantage of : Ahhhhhhhhh, oh well, better get out in the
mall and get rid of some more money.

This seperate room in an Orchard Park
Mall mensroom is very much tiled with different looks blending
nicely to make one eye-opening look. Three urinals are
smartly spaced with the third one on the right lowered
. I liked the purple and green colored tiles running around
the room as a kind of belt, seperating the white upper
wall and the lower black wall. The shirt and the pants
of the room if you will. With a deep-brown dark tiled floor
the room also donned a sleek looking pair of brogues. Nice
to know you're answering nature's call in a room beautifully
adorned with nature's own rich colors
